It seems that (almost) everyone is encouraging me to participate in the National Service (somehow I thought that it's them whom are interested in participating the National Service), even strangers are telling me so. Thus, I have no idea but to go on and do it.
I have no qualms regarding this because I have just a little knowledge regarding this programme. It like a programme to train a more independent, disciplined and patriotic (these characteristics are my guess, but I think it's nowhere further than these) citizens of Malaysia. It's unlike the National Service in Singapore or Korea where the National Service is a must for male citizens of these countries and the programme is much military than of my country's one. In my country, the participation of this programme is actually randomly picked (I don't know how were the participants were picked though, because the selection is not that transparent that probabilities of getting selected is uncountable due to multiple external factors). The National Service in my country is, though still contain some military style of operation, the programme is not totally 'being-an-elite-army' camp, but a more mental and spiritual training for participants.
Maybe I should just see what happens when I'm there. When I come back, I will describe my experience during the programme. Till then, see you in a few months.
