Review of 2012 Posts

As I was looking through those blog posts I've composed in the past, I've found myself indulging in my own 'public diary' from the year when I was gonna face my secondary school ultimate exam - the Malaysian Education Certificate (a.k.a. SPM).

Firstly, I would like to thank every single person that is directly or indirectly involved in my blog posts. Also, I wish to apologise to those whom I've provoked or offended as I'll try to be more sensible and maybe not being that idle like what you might observe in my posts in my first year of blog posts. (or maybe I won't)

Now, here's my current take on some of my posts in the past ...
1. 'Moral Education' (Jan 2012): It's still awkward that the situation hasn't changed much, except the fact that last year, the candidates sitting for the SPM were stunned by the overwhelming questions involving Creative and Critical Thinking Skills along with Higher Order Thinking Skills mixed together.

2. 'Manchester City' (Jan 2012): Well, Manchester City is going quite strong up front now, whereas their neighbours ............

3. ''Bright' Star' (Jan 2012): According to my observations, there comes a time that a child will start to grow up ... and he's in it right now (although I haven't seen his videos recently) ...

4. 'Political Reasoning' (Jan 2012): I must have thick nerves to say so. To my previous self in that particular period, just let my grandma to accept the money, she needed it though ...

5. '1st Album' (Jan 2012): Please, Tay, I have high hopes on you on your next album ...

6. 'Yourself' (Feb 2012): I appreciate those self-talk moments ... and it's kinda still with me, but we're doing it differently.

7. 'American Singing Competitions' (Feb 2012): Still declining to date ... If Eurovision is aired here, I'm gonna watching it ...

8. 'Suarez' (Feb 2012): He's doing good these days ... but he needs to do better against top teams though ... Anyway, he's behaving well too ...

9. 'Education Fair' (Mar 2012): Advice for SPM leavers: Do know what do you really want to do before heading into a course, because you might actually regret for paying hefty sum of money to private institutions while studying something you don't even wanna do in the future either. (There may be exclusions though).

10. 'To Them' (Mar 2012): To those whom I've mentioned 'them' in the post, I just wanna clarify that I'm just a little socially inept and I do have some topics that are incoherent of y'all's common interests ... So maybe it seemed like I could not enter the group in terms of chatters ... Sorry for that, but I'll improve ...

11. 'Abu Dhabis' (Mar 2012): I must be very wounded up over the dominance of Arabian businessmen ... I'm still not satisfied about their wealth, but at least they're keeping a little bit down ...

12. 'Politics' (Mar 2012): I'm still root for non-politicians for a minister post, but I do not have a solution towards this idea ......

13. 'To Them (Pt.2)' (Apr 2012): Still worrying about Liverpool even they're better than the past few seasons ...

14. 'Straight A+' (Apr 2012): Heck, am I so cocky and arrogant that moment? ... I'm doing the nearly exact opposite for my A Levels ...

15. ''Stamp'' (Apr 2012): Still, sometimes it's hard to speak proper English when communicating with Malaysians ...

16. 'Gen Z' (May 2012): People, please take note of the actual years of Gen X, Y and Post-Millennials (in my post, Gen Z) on trusted sources. I knew that my estimations were quite wrong in that post. Anyway, for Post-Millennials and Gen Y, please do make technology as your tool, not your super servant ...

17. 'Study Room' (May 2012): Well, I'm gonna have it a bit sooner, so ... I might have to hold on for a little while ...

18. 'Talent-Producing Site' (Jun 2012): I still root for this cause, but what if somebody made/did something that became famous internationally? ... Hmm ...

19. 'Never Grow Up' (Jun 2012): It's only getting prominent year-by-year ...

20. 'Silly Adults' (Jul 2012): And the drama hasn't end yet, with more seasons of this show to come (The latest interesting episode? The Kangkung (Water Spinach))

21. 'A Messy Cross' (Aug 2012): Now showing 'An Even Messier Cross' ...

22. 'Taylor' (Aug 2012): '... Weee are never ever ever ... getting back together ... we-eee ...'

23. 'Listen, and Do It' (Sept 2012): Well ... Not much improvement among politicians ...

24. 'Disneyland' (Sept 2012): Till today, I always associate 'Disney' with 'magic' ......

25. 'Discrimination' (Sept 2012): And we still have it quite a lot today (deep down though) ...

26. 'Young Reds' (Sept 2012): Now we have Flanagan, Robinson, Wisdom, Moses (Chelsea loanee), and currently some of the best (but I somehow doubt it), Sterling.

27. 'Taylor' (Oct 2012): Let me repeat what I had said in that post: 'I would sincerely hope you that you SHOULD come to Malaysia during your possible upcoming tour seriously.'

28. 'Math and Science' (Nov 2012): Is there any Part 2? I'm not sure what would I be writing ...

29. 'Country' (Nov 2012): Sorry, the 'tau geh' sound description would be better described based on Ryan Higa's (i.e. combine your voice when you're undergoing puberty and the sound of the buzzer when a quarter of the time of a basketball game has passed).

30. 'Religion Conflict' (Nov 2012): Admitted that I'd be very, very annoyed if Tay were to be rejected to perform live here ...

31. 'Science and Religion' (Dec 2012): I'm still contemplating on this issue ......

32. 'Traffic In Penang' (Dec 2012): I think it's about to get a little bit worse ...

33. 'New Year Resolutions' (Dec 2012): Oh heck, I had a new year resolutions' list?

I'll be only doing reviews for blog posts in 2012.

Please bear with my English language bloopers that could be found at all blog posts (including this one). I'm not a native speaker.

Looking back at those posts makes me think that how damn mentally innocent I was ... which I'm trying to keep it or even better improve on it ...

However, I might look back at this blog post 2 years later and I might be sighing over my childish-'teen'ish thinking ...

(p.s.: To myself 2 years later from this blog post, do know that you are now looking at an article of a boy whom just entered the post-adolescence/young adults stage ......)

The Math and Science Subjects Taught In English Initiative Rejected

I cannot believe I'm back here to do some trash-talking here. I should be siting for that big exam and hoping for the A+ grades to show up on my report card next year. Recent 4 days of the big exam has just made candidates of this exam like me spot some awkward bloopers - did not tell every candidate for the particular pusat that there is a correction on the question which will affect the answers written, invigilators helping students to 'cheat', papers changed set altogether due to the so-called leak, hung questions that does not indicate what actually the question want to ask ...... (and many, many more that I'm damn lazy to list out) Hey, snap it. This is the big exam, and these types of mistakes still occur? If it happened damn seldomly, that can be considered a small blooper, but frequent awkward mistakes will really make this exam look like they just lost their royality as one of the major exams in my country. The (considered, from the point of view of education...

The Scumbug Brain

Disclaimer: 'Brain' is kinda used interchangeably with 'mind', with the operational meaning leaning towards the 'mind'. This post is meant to indicate how contradicting a mind might be, especially when criticising itself (I have no scientific evidence though). It's not well-written, but err ... bear with it, okay? I believe that every single humans have one important organ that basically regulates and controls a lot of things happening physiologically, mentally and psychologically known as the brain (Yup, even the so-called 'no-brainers'). I also do, and probably like a lot of people, I have a pretty weird brain which generates thoughts (whether suppressible or not) in which sometimes we adhere to, felt annoyed to, or even just feeling neutral, letting the thought pass by like clouds. Well, let me try describe my brain (therefore trying to play chess with it, too). It seemed awkward when I'm writing this blog post with the help of the b...

My First Overseas Trip (#5) - San Francisco (Part 2: Airport Encounter)

After we left the custom, we went straight ahead to the baggage claim hall, where we must claim our bags and possibly make a transit baggage transfer for our remaining flights. Since the Cathay Pacific Airlines cannot help us to do the transit (my mom went furious about that, jumping up and down for that case), we had to pull our luggage anywhere we go until the check-in time for the next flight arrives. As we're leaving the baggage claim hall, we were deciding to spend the half-day wisely. We decided to take breakfast first before any activities. We went to the departure terminal from the international terminal. We actually can make it by walking towards the terminal, but we decided to take the airtram anyway. I thought that the climate of the airport was not that freezing (because we felt warm in the airport), but later realised that was an illusion. It's quite damn freezing cold even it's 10.30 am in the morning, as we walked out of the terminal and to the statio...
