A Random Post

It's getting late at night. My brain is filling with sleep-inducing chemicals, attempting to lure me to bed. I'm still doing my own works on A Level (since the AS exam is getting closer). You could say I'm multitasking as I am composing this random blog post right now.

Oh, here you go, my brain wondered over the English language scene in Malaysia. (I could've been typing aimlessly at the post and giving it a title 'Random Post'.)

I am quite sick of the usage of impure English in Malaysia. You could spot traits of them nearly anywhere, from the media to the daily conversations among Malaysians. From papers to radio programmes to TV shows, even on the Internet. They were so impure that I would have to worry their correct usage of English, in terms of the English grammar.

Oh wait, that's the only sure thing I could think of.

I am stumped by the coming of the exam. My cortisol level is kinda fluctuating due to the scholarships that I have to find for myself and for my younger brother. Then there's the missing plane, the Crimea takeover and the Taiwan occupy. The urban surroundings were kinda filled with those emotions that depends on individuals (i.e. someone could just say 'It's just another day of problem-solving' whereas others would be like 'Why am I doing the same thing every single day?') (i.e.: For instance, the responses regarding the missing plane would range from 'Plane, why U no come back?!?!?!' to 'Useless governments, useless satellites, useless ships, useless planes, useless (whatever it is).' to 'Hmm ... How are we gonna solve this puzzle?')

Most (or was it 'Some'?) people in my country were more realistic. They would opt for a practical job, which earns them money. They try to get themselves promoted to earn even more money. Then, they would get married and have children. They would have to pay off debts and loans and expenses. Later, they grunt and sighed that they had never did something they really wanted to do, mostly just because they had to earn money, have a family, produce offsprings and somehow conform to the social norms. They would jostle (in nearly any ways, optimally using wits) over one another to gain 'advantage' on things or help their offspring(s) to get a head start in their 'bright' future (sometimes, I don't actually get what does 'bright future' mean, since humans can be pretty bad predictors). In a nutshell, their life motto would be 'This is the world where it's all about the Survival of The Fittest.' (or was it more like 'Survival of The Best Adaptor of The Game'?)

I think base on my thinking, I could as well be one of the oddballs of the brains among Malaysians. I like to dream stuff. I would like to see nearly anything as possible to do, with effort of course. Deep down, my intuition tells me to just do that freaking stuff you wanna do. (At least you're not doing illegal or hazardous stuff) However the fear of not being experienced and (I had to admit) my mini-ego was affecting it. Furthermore, I couldn't seem to find a group of people to do it. I know that fantasising ideas is not gonna help me or the society either, so concrete actions should be taken.

At the end of the day, this post is still randomly composed ......

Maybe it's just a matter of time before I break out from the cocoon and successfully acquiring a new skill: flying (actually it's two, with the second one as metamorphosis) ...

The Math and Science Subjects Taught In English Initiative Rejected

I cannot believe I'm back here to do some trash-talking here. I should be siting for that big exam and hoping for the A+ grades to show up on my report card next year. Recent 4 days of the big exam has just made candidates of this exam like me spot some awkward bloopers - did not tell every candidate for the particular pusat that there is a correction on the question which will affect the answers written, invigilators helping students to 'cheat', papers changed set altogether due to the so-called leak, hung questions that does not indicate what actually the question want to ask ...... (and many, many more that I'm damn lazy to list out) Hey, snap it. This is the big exam, and these types of mistakes still occur? If it happened damn seldomly, that can be considered a small blooper, but frequent awkward mistakes will really make this exam look like they just lost their royality as one of the major exams in my country. The (considered, from the point of view of education...

The Scumbug Brain

Disclaimer: 'Brain' is kinda used interchangeably with 'mind', with the operational meaning leaning towards the 'mind'. This post is meant to indicate how contradicting a mind might be, especially when criticising itself (I have no scientific evidence though). It's not well-written, but err ... bear with it, okay? I believe that every single humans have one important organ that basically regulates and controls a lot of things happening physiologically, mentally and psychologically known as the brain (Yup, even the so-called 'no-brainers'). I also do, and probably like a lot of people, I have a pretty weird brain which generates thoughts (whether suppressible or not) in which sometimes we adhere to, felt annoyed to, or even just feeling neutral, letting the thought pass by like clouds. Well, let me try describe my brain (therefore trying to play chess with it, too). It seemed awkward when I'm writing this blog post with the help of the b...

My First Overseas Trip (#5) - San Francisco (Part 2: Airport Encounter)

After we left the custom, we went straight ahead to the baggage claim hall, where we must claim our bags and possibly make a transit baggage transfer for our remaining flights. Since the Cathay Pacific Airlines cannot help us to do the transit (my mom went furious about that, jumping up and down for that case), we had to pull our luggage anywhere we go until the check-in time for the next flight arrives. As we're leaving the baggage claim hall, we were deciding to spend the half-day wisely. We decided to take breakfast first before any activities. We went to the departure terminal from the international terminal. We actually can make it by walking towards the terminal, but we decided to take the airtram anyway. I thought that the climate of the airport was not that freezing (because we felt warm in the airport), but later realised that was an illusion. It's quite damn freezing cold even it's 10.30 am in the morning, as we walked out of the terminal and to the statio...
