#GE13

The papers are all over of it. TV ads have things on it. Many people in Malaysia is talking about it ...

Yup, the General Election No. 13 is about to happen within 2 months after the dissolution of the parliament.

The reason that this General Election, or GE in short, is emphasised by many people in Malaysia is the fact that this could be (I said 'could') the closest GE for the oppositions to take over the country. Both sides are now in the election fever, doing whatever they can to woo voters to vote for them, just that this time they had been using social media to persuade younger voters, who are more connected online. Both sides have their own manifestos, which both sides argued that who's copying who's manifestos.

This time around, the emphasis goes on a statement that I have felt bored to listen to it: '... To make Malaysia a better, more developed, safer, advanced nation ...' (or something like that). Now, that's my first time listening to this type of statement, which it hadn't happened about 2 GEs ago (I'm not sure about the GEs before the 2004 version). Politicians urged for it. TV ads empowering it. I thought that it won't be nice if my Facebook wall is 'spammed' with these messages within this period of time.

Besides, there are various statements like '... Voting is a responsibility for each and every Malaysians ...', '... We (political party) have ensured all of the people got their benefits on various aspects. Vote for us, we'll promise you with our manifestos ...' and a whole lot more.

The most irritating type of statements from both political parties is the offensive type. You know, food/cat/pillow/(you name it) fight between politicians of both sides. It's absolutely ridiculous and disgusting that it's so not worth it to be published on paper. Come on, powers-to-be. Show that you are a politicians who will help the people and make progress for the country, not a 3-year-old toddler crying after someone took your toy away. Imagine how many trees can be freed from been chopped down and how many rubbish can be avoided just by eliminating these 'bullship' (thanks Ryan) from the holy piece of news transmitter.

Even I am not eligible to vote in this GE, but I hoped that for this election:
1. Don't create chaos in the public, whether you are from/supporting either side.
2. Politicians can carry out their speech in a proper way.
3. Please don't involve any racy or religious cases.
4. Please don't do something dumb to spoil the fairness and transparency of the GE.
5. If, AND EVER IF, the oppositions made history for being the government, I hope that the current government party will accept the reality with sportsmanship, and obey the first three hopes mentioned above.

As for the independent candidates and the minority parties, good luck on your aim to get as much votes as you can.

As for the candidates of the two biggest political allies, erm ... all the best and let's see who made it.

As for me, I thought that focusing on my own stuff would be a good way to avoid this boring issue. And please, frankly please, don't do a house visit within my residential area ......

The Math and Science Subjects Taught In English Initiative Rejected

I cannot believe I'm back here to do some trash-talking here. I should be siting for that big exam and hoping for the A+ grades to show up on my report card next year. Recent 4 days of the big exam has just made candidates of this exam like me spot some awkward bloopers - did not tell every candidate for the particular pusat that there is a correction on the question which will affect the answers written, invigilators helping students to 'cheat', papers changed set altogether due to the so-called leak, hung questions that does not indicate what actually the question want to ask ...... (and many, many more that I'm damn lazy to list out) Hey, snap it. This is the big exam, and these types of mistakes still occur? If it happened damn seldomly, that can be considered a small blooper, but frequent awkward mistakes will really make this exam look like they just lost their royality as one of the major exams in my country. The (considered, from the point of view of education...

The Scumbug Brain

Disclaimer: 'Brain' is kinda used interchangeably with 'mind', with the operational meaning leaning towards the 'mind'. This post is meant to indicate how contradicting a mind might be, especially when criticising itself (I have no scientific evidence though). It's not well-written, but err ... bear with it, okay? I believe that every single humans have one important organ that basically regulates and controls a lot of things happening physiologically, mentally and psychologically known as the brain (Yup, even the so-called 'no-brainers'). I also do, and probably like a lot of people, I have a pretty weird brain which generates thoughts (whether suppressible or not) in which sometimes we adhere to, felt annoyed to, or even just feeling neutral, letting the thought pass by like clouds. Well, let me try describe my brain (therefore trying to play chess with it, too). It seemed awkward when I'm writing this blog post with the help of the b...

My First Overseas Trip (#5) - San Francisco (Part 2: Airport Encounter)

After we left the custom, we went straight ahead to the baggage claim hall, where we must claim our bags and possibly make a transit baggage transfer for our remaining flights. Since the Cathay Pacific Airlines cannot help us to do the transit (my mom went furious about that, jumping up and down for that case), we had to pull our luggage anywhere we go until the check-in time for the next flight arrives. As we're leaving the baggage claim hall, we were deciding to spend the half-day wisely. We decided to take breakfast first before any activities. We went to the departure terminal from the international terminal. We actually can make it by walking towards the terminal, but we decided to take the airtram anyway. I thought that the climate of the airport was not that freezing (because we felt warm in the airport), but later realised that was an illusion. It's quite damn freezing cold even it's 10.30 am in the morning, as we walked out of the terminal and to the statio...
