Terrorism

In 2001, there came the 911 incident.
In 2003, there happened an invasion to Iraq, said to be a revenge paid for the 911 incident.
In 2002 and 2005 respectively, the beautiful island of Bali was shadowed by 2 bombing incidents.
In 2008, Mumbai was hit by a hotel siege.
In 2011, there occurred the Norway massacre, which has killed innocent children.
And then in 2012, more innocent children were killed inside an elementary school in Newtown, Conneticut, US.
In 2013, in fact today (of the date I start typing this post), there happened an bombing in Boston.

Considering the facts above, why even in the 21st century, where people are living better, why these unnecessary incidents kept happening?

Terrorism has caused so much trouble that the polluted world has to keep silent to the man-made conflicts. More energy waste. More noise pollution. More resources used up for the confrontation. More money spent on military uses. More negative energy produced. The list goes on and on ......

To those terrorists whom still want to do more harm to the innocent community just to fight for their presumed 'honour' and 'pride' of themselves, please stop whatever plans and listen up. I don't care who on Earth you are. It doesn't matter if you are 'fighting' for your 'religion' (uh, religion? More like your ideology), your ideology, your people, your ethnic or even your face. Just that I want you to think the worth of doing so.

Oh, so you claim that you have to do bombings and scares to make sure you win your 'opponent', but then, you have to sacrifice your troop or your supporters (probably including angelic children who are told to support the 'cause' for no reason). Is that worth it, if it means by getting your family members out on the battlefield? You aren't that cruel to do that, right? They are the ones that do care about you, and the biggest thing you did for them is this? Now, doing off family members is one thing, what about the others? They have their own wives, children, parents, siblings and their life to take care of, and you 'insist' them to fight alongside you and leave these precious people and their lives?

What about children (teens included)? As I have said above, children are innocent. And you want to 'instill' your fighting 'visions' into their minds and turn them into 'fighting machines'? Teens ... Yeah, I thought that they should have the ability to decide what is right and what is wrong, but referring to a citizen of my country being influenced by a terrorist group to bomb himself at Philippines years ago have made me rethink my assumption. Whoops, I forgot to apply the 'peer pressure' factor.

Ever thought that the weapons you used? Do you want to see your people to suffer injuries or immediate decease caused by those weapons? Think about it, bombing will cause burning shockwave and fire power to the zone, causing people nearby enough to get injured or get killed. What will happen that if the people you do not want to get rid off got involved into this incident, getting painful injuries and yelling for help? You think it's mandatory for these people to sacrifice themselves (duh, cannot believe I used the term 'sacrifice'?)? They are not gonna thank you for that, and that include their family members. After all, it's not their duty to be a scapegoat of your plan. Shooting will also cause similar situations although the effect is not that serious as of bombing. Not to mention the cost you have to pay for the purchase/construction of the weapons.

And didn't you ever thought about your reputation? I know that since you are doing so, you are not going to care who took photos of you. However, consider your people for a second. Especially for 'Jihadists', don't you see that because of all your terrorism acts you did to the world, the Muslims, whether they are with your ideology or not, are humiliated severely in many ways that they have to be careful about possible bullies by the West. I believe that Islam, like other religions, teach their followers to do good, not have a fight with others when an issue is left unsettled. Your acts are just damaging the image of Islam and Muslims worldwide. However, the US and their allies have to share the responsibility for the terrorism cases. Why on Earth you attack Iraq for revenge? There's no such necessity to do so. The situation has gone worse that the issue hasn't been solved even the leader of one of the famous terrorism groups, Osama bin Laden, was killed (err, allegedly reported though, we do not know if this news is 200% confirmed). I won't want to elaborate the 'issue' I mean because I believe we should've known that, and there are way too many of them that I'm quite lazy to explain one by one.

Now, it doesn't mean that only the 'Jihadists' are involved in terrorism. Others whom have the similar ideology of terrorism should take note for it. Seriously, terrorism is not the best way to solve an issue. I would like to ask the terrorists: 'Have you achieved what you wanted at first by doing harm to the community? And even if so, are your actions conscience-worthy?' Think about it.

To the world, please do not simply harass Muslims and any other innocent people 'inflicted by the group, race, religion, nation of the terrorists' (especially those brainless commentators on Youtube). They are not the ones who should be blamed at something they did not do. This message is uniquely conveyed to some Americans who cannot accept other races and kept on belittle them. And for those who are Muslims and the other innocent people 'inflicted by the group, race, religion, nation of the terrorists', be proud of being yourself. You're a Muslim whom have to be loyal to your Almighty. So, what's wrong with that? Your skin is black in colour. So what? You are a poor farmer's son in the middle of the Middle East. Uh, and then what?

My hope for the coming times is that this thing will stop once and for all. Hope all issues can be settled peacefully. Who knows one day the Middle East became a hot tourist attraction and got a lot to show to the world who they are.

The Math and Science Subjects Taught In English Initiative Rejected

I cannot believe I'm back here to do some trash-talking here. I should be siting for that big exam and hoping for the A+ grades to show up on my report card next year. Recent 4 days of the big exam has just made candidates of this exam like me spot some awkward bloopers - did not tell every candidate for the particular pusat that there is a correction on the question which will affect the answers written, invigilators helping students to 'cheat', papers changed set altogether due to the so-called leak, hung questions that does not indicate what actually the question want to ask ...... (and many, many more that I'm damn lazy to list out) Hey, snap it. This is the big exam, and these types of mistakes still occur? If it happened damn seldomly, that can be considered a small blooper, but frequent awkward mistakes will really make this exam look like they just lost their royality as one of the major exams in my country. The (considered, from the point of view of education...

The Scumbug Brain

Disclaimer: 'Brain' is kinda used interchangeably with 'mind', with the operational meaning leaning towards the 'mind'. This post is meant to indicate how contradicting a mind might be, especially when criticising itself (I have no scientific evidence though). It's not well-written, but err ... bear with it, okay? I believe that every single humans have one important organ that basically regulates and controls a lot of things happening physiologically, mentally and psychologically known as the brain (Yup, even the so-called 'no-brainers'). I also do, and probably like a lot of people, I have a pretty weird brain which generates thoughts (whether suppressible or not) in which sometimes we adhere to, felt annoyed to, or even just feeling neutral, letting the thought pass by like clouds. Well, let me try describe my brain (therefore trying to play chess with it, too). It seemed awkward when I'm writing this blog post with the help of the b...

My First Overseas Trip (#5) - San Francisco (Part 2: Airport Encounter)

After we left the custom, we went straight ahead to the baggage claim hall, where we must claim our bags and possibly make a transit baggage transfer for our remaining flights. Since the Cathay Pacific Airlines cannot help us to do the transit (my mom went furious about that, jumping up and down for that case), we had to pull our luggage anywhere we go until the check-in time for the next flight arrives. As we're leaving the baggage claim hall, we were deciding to spend the half-day wisely. We decided to take breakfast first before any activities. We went to the departure terminal from the international terminal. We actually can make it by walking towards the terminal, but we decided to take the airtram anyway. I thought that the climate of the airport was not that freezing (because we felt warm in the airport), but later realised that was an illusion. It's quite damn freezing cold even it's 10.30 am in the morning, as we walked out of the terminal and to the statio...
